Mirror Image

On my bathroom trek when I awoke,
(I promise you this is no joke),
there in the glass I chanced to see
my mother looking back at me!

The older I get, the more of my mother I see in me. And I’m okay with that. 🙂

Name derived from the name of the micro-fiction form “Drabble,” which is a story consisting of exactly 100 words. A Dribble is a poem consisting of exactly 100 letters (not characters—spaces and punctuation are not counted) in four lines.
Because of the brevity of the poem, the title is integral to the poem (though not included in the count).
Usually humorous
Rhyme scheme: abab

  1. I happened across your blog today while googling the definition of a crown cinquain. And I’m so happy I did!
By the way, I can definitely relate about seeing your mother while looking in the mirror. 😊
