My other brother
stuck some yuck
in you know where
(not there, my hair!)
and though I know
paybacks are wrong
my daylong song
was, “Swine, you’re mine!”
I made him ‘fraid,
for pity he prayed
and swore no more
to stick some yick.

Written for #OctPoWriMo and Quadrille Monday #66 at dVerse Pub, hosted by WhimsyGizmo. This week we were called upon to write a poem of exactly 44 words about something yucky, “and please make it light,” she says. So I did. I do believe this is the first time I’ve written a rhyming Quadrille. There is not an ounce of truth to my story. It’s just for fun. Incidentally, what did the speaker do for paybacks?
