Florida Winter

misty raindrops dance
like snowflakes in the night sky
on silent tip-toes

pirouetting softly down
stars and rain dance pas de deux

North America’s answer to the Japanese linked form Renku or Renga.
A cooperative poem of 5 lines, made up of a tercet followed by a couplet
The tercet, 5-7-5 syllables, is written by one poet.
The couplet, 7-7 syllables, is written as a response by another poet.

I wrote this with my daughter, who contributed the couplet.

    1. Thank you, Jenna. And my apologies for taking so long to reply. I’ve been away from my blog for quite some time. The only reason there’s been any activity is because I scheduled posts in advance. Hopefully I’ll be back to writing again soon. 🙂
