Three numbers displayed on the signpost
Measure miles to the line on the roadmap
As we travel to our native city.
The distance to our favored city,
Shown by two digits on the green signpost.
We are marking the route on the roadmap
To a dot changed to heart on the roadmap,
A heart symbolizing our city,
Next exit upon the green signpost.
No more signposts and roadmaps to city—we’re home.

Tritina
Three tercets followed by a monostich.
There is no set rhythm or line length, but the lines should pretty much be isosyllabic (all have the same number of syllables).
Instead of rhyme, the tercets end with lexical repetition—three words that are repeated in each stanza in varying order. All three words also appear in the last line
The word order is: 1-2-3, 3-1-2, 2-3-1, (1-2-3)
Loved this! I love roadtrips! Nice to be heading Home to the Beloved ones in our lives!!!

I love tritinas! They are like sestinas but immeasurably easier. 🙂 I like the way each stanza in your poem is at a different moment in time.

Thank you. I felt somewhat limited by the brevity of the form, so I’m glad it worked.
