If we were not by hands unseen
Unshackled from temerity
Imagine how things might have been
How different our reality.
Unshackled from temerity
Sweet friendship now achievable
How different our reality
Such love yet inconceivable.
Sweet friendship now achievable
Far deeper, richer, mystical
Such love yet inconceivable
Surpassing all things temporal.
Far deeper, richer, mystical
Oh, to subdue the hankering
Surpassing all things temporal
Two souls to one Rock anchoring
Oh, to subdue the hankering
If we were not by hands unseen
Two souls to one Rock anchoring
Imagine how things might have been.

Loved the wondering and imaging of this piece? Felt like looking up at the stars! Cool!

This is truly beautiful. I have tried to write pantoums, but they haven’t worked. Yours works so well! Thanks for posting it.

Thank you. It wasn’t easy. I worked it and reworked it over and over, changing and moving things, erasing and starting over. This verse form made me sweat, but it was worth the effort.
