Silent Love in Distant Places

Deep within and hid from faces
Drawing on the Father’s graces
Holding fast to warm embraces
Silent love in distant places
Silent love in distant places

The title came from the name of the tune of Psalm 56. The word in the Bible is Jonath-elem-rechokim, also interpreted “silent dove in distant places” or “dumb love in (of) distant places.” I took the various interpretations and put them together. Even the very name of the psalm tune sounds poetic, and from the moment I read it, I wanted to write a poem using this as my title.
