Though time has ravaged you with care,
and worry whitened all your hair,
I do not say this flippantly—
You’re still the only one for me.

Tremendous trials have left you lame;
false accusations soiled your name;
yet I the truth can plainly see—
You’re still the only one for me.

Have patience, my beloved one,
God’s making you more like His Son.
I’ll love you, dear, eternally—
You’re still the only one for me.

Though time has ravaged you with care,
you’re still the only one for me.
