Happier New Year

Just another day—and yet
it brings us to another year.
Let’s hope this day makes us forget
each bygone breath of dread or fear.

This is my first Dribble, and I must say it was a little more difficult than I expected. Nevertheless, I found it to be a good challenge, and I encourage you try it if you haven’t already. And when you, be sure to put your link in the comments below.

Dribble
Name derived from the name of the micro-fiction form “Drabble,” which is a story consisting of exactly 100 words. A Dribble is a poem consisting of exactly 100 letters (not characters—spaces and punctuation are not counted) in four lines.
Because of the brevity of the poem, the title is integral to the poem (though not included in the count).
Usually humorous
Rhyme scheme: abab
