Of Red and Green

It’s time to put decor of orange away
and bring the trimmings out of red and green.
Hitch up the horse, put bells upon the sleigh;
the freshly fallen snow is so pristine,
adorning fir trees standing tall and lean.

The cornucopias all stored away,
let’s bring the trimmings out of green and red.
The Advent wreath reminds us all to pray;
tonight the Christmas Story will be read
before we send our children off to bed.
