The memory of you fills me so much
that from afar I feel, smell, see, and hear.
I remember
your chocolate eyes, your woodsy scent, your touchโ
missed you in September.
I can still feel the warmth of your embrace;
the image burns in my mind much like a
glowing ember.
In air my hands extend, your features traceโ
I’ll miss you in December.
The music of your voice sings me to sleep,
to dream of you, and wake with you at dawn.
I donโt know why
I try so hard your memory to keepโ
I saw you in July.
