Secret Strength

slows my step, weighs
words down like lead, and yet—
I fear it not, for weakness is
my strength.

For a couple weeks now I have been ill with a virus, and it has really knocked the wind out of my sails. I’ve been able to work, but with many breaks for rest in between. I live among university students, and mono is going around, so that may be the cause of my weakness. Whatever the cause, the rest is good for me, and the joy of the Lord is my strength. He is my secret strength.
