Lover’s Song

We chatted all day long
Back in the early days
We couldn’t keep away
Ours was a love-sick craze
Heady emotions strong

Heady emotions strong
Time bade them settle down
Knowing he’ll always stay
Silence can noises drown
To hear the lovers’ song
