Dear friend of mine, when God made you,
He must have thought about me,
For everything you say and do
Is what I need you to be.
I cherish every moment, dear,
Together or far apart;
And when I cannot hold you near,
I’m holding you in my heart.
God’s grace for now has sent me far away;
His grace will reunite us some sweet day.

Thank you. This poem was inspired by a song I found on YouTube called “When God Made You.” A line in the song says, “When God made you, He must have been thinking about me.” That song plays in my mind over and over, for there is someone in my life who fits that description.
