My Beloved

How do I describe him?
Shall I tell you
Of the deep brown eyes
That match his gray-brown curls
And see all the way into my soul?
Or his hands, strong from labor,
Yet gentle and warm with me?
Perhaps I’ll simply tell you
That he is mine
And I am his forever.

Scansion:
A Double Five is a 10-line poem written in two stanzas of five lines each. However, the division into two stanzas seemed unnatural in this instance, or at least out of place, so I broke the rule and made it one.
Theme: Portrait of a loved one
Line length: “Short” (no other specifications)
Rhyme not specified, and therefore not incorporated
