Christmas (To Those Far Away)

I’m sharing this Christmas with friends old and new,
However, I’d rather spend Christmas with you.
I won’t get to see you, I know I can’t call,
But please know for certain my heart’s with you all.
Have a blessed Christmas; I wish you good cheer;
And I’ll try hard to see you this same time next year.

For my family, written while I was out of the country. This was before cell phones, when international phone calls were very expensive and had to be placed from a call center. The family I lived with was wonderful, but they weren’t my family.
