What means this heaviness inside?
These yearnings that within me hide
A burden I must call my own,
A weight that I must bear alone.
And what of all my inner joy?
This wondrous secret I employ—
Extreme delight that none can share,
A smile that I alone must wear.
So what if I feel grief or peace?
My secret love shall never cease.
Someday I’ll sing from mount and field,
But til that time my lips are sealed.
