How?

Before you grew into a man,
Before you were a little boy,
Before your birth,
Before the day your mom conceived,
Or time began,
Our Father had a grand design,
Your life and mine to intertwine.
You have such worth!
How is it that our God already knew
That I’d have need of someone such as you?

This form boggles my mind, for I both love it and hate it. I hate it because it is not symmetrical. The design seems disjointed and chaotic. And yet when finished and read aloud, it sounds beautiful and cohesive. It’s stunning, actually, how such order can come from such chaos.
