I Am Blue

I am blue,
but I am not sad.
I am royalty.
I am majesty.
I am wide as the sky,
deep as the ocean,
and broad as the sea.
I am everyone's favorite.
Neither proud nor humble
I am what I am.
I am layered
like the mountains whose pinnacles cascade
one behind the other as far as
the eye can see.
I am me.
I am you.

Written for Stream of Consciousness Saturday, hosted by Linda G. Hill, with many thanks to The Reluctant Poet for calling my attention to this challenge.

Today’s theme is COLOR. Rather than use the word itself, I decided to use the idea.
