J ~ Juvenile Jackal

Juvenile jackal,
jaunting, jolts, jumps jagged jam,
jaws jaeger*—joyous.

Written as part of a series of Alphabet Haiku

To write this one, I did a little research into the habitat and eating habits of the jackal. Yes, the jackal does indeed feed upon the jaeger. Pretty cool, huh? And pretty convenient for my Alphabet Haiku.

*Jaeger: any of several large dark-colored birds (genus Stercorarius) of northern seas that are related to the skua. They are strong fliers and tend to harass weaker birds until they drop or disgorge their prey. They fall prey to the jackal.
