Available

There’s a room for me here
but not the one I want.
The room I’ve chosen is not available.
He has chosen me too.
He invites me in
yet will not turn on the light.
In the shadows he
plays with me
dances with me
eats with me
but he says I cannot stay.
Not now.
Not yet.
So here I sit
in the lobby
waiting
for his room to come
available
