Alphabet Haiku Challenge

Welcome to the landing page for the Alphabet Haiku Challenge. Feel free to jump in wherever you may be. The links stay open for about a month, but if the one you want is closed, then feel free to share your poem in the comments.

The goal with Alphabet Haiku is not so much to come up with a poem that makes perfect sense or moves the heart strings, but to develop a stronger intimacy with our English language (or whatever language you prefer to use for writing your poetry). This is an exercise, designed to stretch your mind. So dress appropriately, put on some energizing music (unless that doesn’t work for you) and enjoy the writing process.

    1. Thank you for letting me know about your upcoming move. I wish you well on BlogSpot, and I look forward to still getting to read your poetry.

All is well here in sunny Florida. My art business is taking off nicely, and I’ve already planned my entire 2019 writing calendar.

The Alphabet Haiku challenge will be done by the end of the year. For next year I have some other challenges planned, including 5-line poems and a sonnet challenge. I’m going to take a break from the challenges in January and begin the 5-line challenge in February.
