There is no truer friend than Pain,
to stay with you in thick and thin,
to leave but then return again—
no other is more genuine.
I’ve been in constant pain for about six weeks now, and it’s getting worse. It’s time to write another Dribble, and I usually write about what’s on my mind at the time. At the moment pain is on my mind, but the Dribble is supposed to be light, if not down right humorous. So I did my best to bring some levity to a reality of life that we all share to one degree or another. I’ve always loved the line from The Princess Bride: “Life is pain, Highness.” It’s true. It’s true.

Name derived from the name of the micro-fiction form “Drabble,” which is a story consisting of exactly 100 words. A Dribble is a poem consisting of exactly 100 letters (not characters—spaces and punctuation are not counted) in four lines.
Because of the brevity of the poem, the title is integral to the poem (though not included in the count).
