A Time to Steal

Tick tock goes the mantel clock,
striking the hour in the den;
kitty cat stole yet another sock—
I’m thinking that it makes ten.

Just a nonsense poem, nothing more. We used to have a cat that would steal socks, slippers, and anything else he could carry. I thought about titling the poem “A Time to Kill” [the cat, that is], but only in fun.

Dribble
Name derived from the name of the micro-fiction form “Drabble,” which is a story consisting of exactly 100 words. A Dribble is a poem consisting of exactly 100 letters (not characters—spaces and punctuation are not counted) in four lines.
Because of the brevity of the poem, the title is integral to the poem (though not included in the count).
Usually humorous
Rhyme scheme: abab
