Welcome to my series, Incremental Poetry, where each week the featured poem will be one line longer than the one I share the week before. I have no idea how long I’ll keep this up, so we’ll just have to wait and see. Thank you for stopping by.

About the Poem:
Thinking of how poetry has connected me to many friends, both old and new

Scansion:
Egg Timer
Apparently invented by Dorian Peterson Potter, since all known samples were written by her.
It is an unrhymed decastich with a syllabic pattern 5-4-3-2-1-1-2-3-4-5.
The last five lines are the mirror image of the first five lines.
Note:
This decastich form was not included in my series of challenges because I didn’t discover it until later. That is why I chose to use it for today’s Incremental Poetry writing.
