They are ruined

Welcome to my series, Incremental Poetry, where each week the featured poem will be one line longer than the one I share the week before. I have no idea how long I’ll keep this up, so we’ll just have to wait and see. Thank you for stopping by.
About the Poem:
I stepped away from my work to take a dip in the pool, and out the blue it began to rain. Immediately I got out of the pool and packed up my poetry journals, laptop, camera, and other belongings, to carry them inside. They weren’t really ruined, for they were under an umbrella; but I thought it made for an interesting poem.

Line 9 – amphibrach – uSu

Thank you, Elsie. I’ve become fixated, you might say, on learning new forms, and I’ve organized them in my folders by length, so I decided to also share them that way. I didn’t present these as a challenge per se, like the Friday series, but I did include the rules for each form so that you who are curious may also give it a go.
I myself am barely here these days. I’m still adjusting to the new job and grieving the loss of “free time.” It’s a new normal. I like it most days. Cheers!

Here again, I’m going to have to study what all those Lines and Letters mean the writing the Amaranth form poetry, back to school for me I think.

u = unstressed
The words in the poem can serve as samples for each. Personally, I think some of it is bogus. For example: A choriamb (L7) is nothing more than a trochee and an iamb placed back to back. To make this one foot and give it a new name is highly technical. Someone had way too much time on their hands. Lol… Just have fun with it.
