Incremental Poetry ~ 6 Lines

Friend

Focus of my journal’s every leaf
Respected confidante and counselor
Intimate guardian of our secret of the taxi
Esteemed for character noble and rare
Never met anyone so true, so kind, so fun
Dearest angel in all the world

Welcome to my series, Incremental Poetry, where each week the featured poem will be one line longer than the one I share the week before. I have no idea how long I’ll keep this up, so we’ll just have to wait and see. Thank you for stopping by.

About the Poem:
I am blessed to have a dear friend, a kindred spirit.

Scansion:
Double Acrostic
Each letter of the title is repeated at both the beginning and the end of each line
