Once upon a time he loved me,
Whispered words to make me thrill;
He grew quiet years ago now,
And his silence haunts me still.
How I long to hear, “I love you.”
Eyes of ice give me a chill….
I can still remember when we
Danced and frolicked in our prime,
Dreamt together, took vacations—
That was once upon a time.

Beautiful, you have made it look so easy to write a Decannelle poem. I must try to write one. Thanks.

I don’t know about master, but what’s inside must come out. 🙂 Thank you so much for your kindness, Lynn.

I’m very tired, but still trying to finish my painting for today. It’s a monochrome, and I have to wait for each layer to dry before moving on. One layer left, and I’ll be done and ready to photograph and post. My poem is already written. 🙂
