Every moment of my day
is bound by a single thread.
I wake and work, rest and sleep.
All the while
My thoughts are filled with you.
Everything has a purpose,
at least that’s what people say.
But being here while you are there:
I fail to see the point,
I only know it will not always be this way.
Every day that I miss you
doesn’t just take me a day further
from the last time I saw you,
it also puts me a day closer
to the next time I’ll see you.

Oh my!! This is one stunning love poem! What a great capture of that yearning feeling true love brings to our hearts when we are separated from our Beloved and longing for the next embrace! Bellissimo, Bellissimo My Dear!
