When God is answering my prayers,
When some dear saint a blessing shares,
When Christ removes my doubts and cares,
I will praise the Lord.
When souls for whom I’ve prayed for years
Have come to Christ in humble tears,
And He the sinner’s prayer hears,
I will praise the Lord.
When nights are long from lack of sleep,
When wounds received from friends are deep,
When, often sowing, I seldom reap,
I will praise the Lord.
For when the road is hard and long,
And worldly cares around me throng,
It’s then God gives to me a song—
I will praise the Lord!

Good advice and nice sound: praise the Lord always.

Thank you! Many of my earlier poems were filled with despondency, but this one was hopeful.
