Shuddering, I sat helpless while they
Twisted my words
Lied about me
Said hurtful things
And shamed me
You were there by my side
My only friend amid the wolves
Or at least you should have been
I trusted you
I needed you
And you would not even hold my hand
Your eyes afraid of mine
Your voice paired with theirs
I died that day
And the love I had for you died with me

Very powerful and raw emotions in this post. Sad when the trusted and closest betray us! So moving! Not hard to understand how personal and emotional bonds could be broken! Thanks for sharing this with us.

So true, but great when the bond broken can be restored. I’ll write about that too.
