Fireworks with You

fireworks

Tonight I’ll see you, darling,
At the city’s light display,
The festive celebration
Of our Independence Day.

The scene there will be splendid—
With families all around,
Setting up their lawn chairs
And blankets on the ground.

The band will play their music
To liven up the show
And folks will join in singing
As the sun sinks ever low.

Then Flash and Boom and Sizzle
The best display we’ve known—
Until we get back home again
And make fireworks of our own….
